T1DM.org

T1DM.org is a voluntary initiative to spread awareness about higher education and career options among young students. Through sufficient knowledge of available choices, the attempt is to help them make a more informed decision and also be better prepared to achieve it. A non-profit and non-commercial organisation, T1DM.org was formally established in 2015 with a modest start. With over 50 activities to date, the team is now better equipped and more experienced.

A Pharmaceutical Sciences doctorate, Dr Shivani Desai is a clinical pharmacist and an experienced clinical researcher and academician. Besides academia, she is also involved in preclinical and clinical projects at Dr D Y Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune, India. She expertises in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and is currently researching its prevention and reversal.
